Choosing you - understanding your nervous system and building resilience.

Drawing on the principles of somatics - the art of sensing and being present in your body - we will explore body-based techniques, rituals and reflections that cultivate harmony and self compassion, build more resilience and resources, as well as connect you with your body wisdom and most authentic self.

 

This course is a holistic container that will nourish and empower body, mind, heart and spirit. You will establish small practices to apply in your daily life to feel entered and balanced. Each of them offering a deep understanding of how your nervous system works. A resilient nervous system is one that can safely navigate between regulation and dysregulation – both are needed to be alive in this modern world. Somatic work strengthens this kind of resilience and fosters more personal agency, healthy boundaries, authentic connections and belonging.

Over 6 weeks  will explore how to:
- learn to identify the 2 primary nervous system states and the 3 secondary states.
- connect with the sensations and feelings rather than just observe or notice them.
- understand the difference between intuition and a nervous system response
- expand your sensory & self awareness through gentle movement, breath & sound
- cultivate your capacity for authentic connection with yourself and others
- listen deeply to the inner landscapes finding your authentic you & trust the inner guidance
- tapping into your inherent power by expressing your voice, needs, agency & choice.
